The two-day ACCESS Technology Symposium on "Frontiers of AI Accelerators: Technologies, Circuits, and Applications VI" successfully concluded on May 20, 2026. This event brought together over 20 leading researchers, industry experts, and innovators in the field of AI hardware acceleration, focusing on cutting-edge technologies, hardware architectures, and real-world applications.
Prof. Tim CHENG, Center Director of the AI Chip Center for Emerging Smart Systems and Vice-President for Research & Development at The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST), officially announced the commencement of the event. He shared insights on the latest research and business developments within ACCESS. We were also honored to have Mr. Terry WONG, CEO of Hong Kong Science and Technology Parks Corporation, being the Guest of Honor and deliver the opening remarks.
The Symposium has brought together over 20 renowned international experts and leading researchers who provided in-depth lectures and led workshops on state-of-the-art technologies, hardware architectures, and applications. Additionally, ACCESS facilitated a dialogue during the Entrepreneurship Workshop, themed “The AI Accelerator Ecosystem: Founders, Funders, and Future Trends,” which included regional researchers, startup founders, and leading investors. The event also comprised an Open House and Demonstration session.
The closing ceremony was led by Dr. Luhong Liang, Executive Director of ACCESS, who expressed gratitude to the co-organizers, The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology and the Hong Kong Science and Technology Parks Corporation, as well as to the international experts, researchers, and over 700 attendees on-site and online whose active participation contributed to the monumental success of this event.
Building on this year's achievements, ACCESS is already preparing for next year's event to further advance innovation in AI acceleration technologies.
