2022-05-26

The InnoHK Launch Ceremony was successfully held on May 25. Over 300 top-notch researchers of the 28 research laboratories and I&T industry leaders attended the Ceremony physically. The Chief Executive of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, Mrs Carrie Lam, together with other officiating guests, officiated the Official Launch of InnoHK and introduced InnoHK's logo and official website (www.innohk.gov.hk).

The Hong Kong Government has allocated $10 billion to InnoHK. Leveraging on Hong Kong's advantages in research capability, two research clusters have been established at the Hong Kong Science Park, namely Health@InnoHK, focusing on healthcare technologies, and AIR@InnoHK, focusing on artificial intelligence and robotics technologies. InnoHK is dedicated to bringing together leading researchers from around the world to conduct world-class and impactful collaborative research with local universities and research institutions.

As one of the research laboratories under AIR@InnoHK, AI Chip Center for Emerging Smart Systems (ACCESS) focuses on advancing integrated circuit (IC) design technologies to enable novel data-centric computing paradigms supporting a wide range of AI applications. ACCESS will put Hong Kong on the global map of AI chip and hardware design.
