ACCESS’ Presence at HKUST Blue Bay Incubator Harbor to Foster Shenzhen-Hong Kong Tech Innovation Integration

2026-06-16

InnoHK AI Chip Center for Emerging Smart Systems (ACCESS) was invited to attend the opening ceremony of the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST) Blue Bay Qianhai Innovation Center.  The ceremony was held on Friday, June 12, 2026, at the Qianhai Shenzhen-Hong Kong Youth Innovation and Entrepreneur Hub, marking a new chapter in HKUST’s efforts to advance innovation, entrepreneurship, and technology transfer in Shenzhen.

The HKUST Blue Bay Incubator Harbor is the first incubator in Shenzhen to be independently operated by a Hong Kong higher education institution.  Since the launch of its "Blue Bay Entrepreneurship Program" in 2016, the platform has developed a mature, robust ecosystem.   It is dedicated to pooling technology, entrepreneurial talents, venture capital, and industrial resources from both Shenzhen and Hong Kong to build a thriving cross-border innovation ecosystem.

To further advance the industry-academia-research synergy, ACCESS will establish a presence at the HKUST Blue Bay Incubator Harbor.  By leveraging its mature ecosystem and the dual-university network of HKUST and HKUST (Guangzhou), ACCESS will efficiently connect technological research & development talents, dynamic entrepreneurial teams, leading venture capital firms, and key industrial partners across Shenzhen and Hong Kong.

This strategic move is set to accelerate the commercialization of scientific research in intelligent chips and systems, smoothly transitioning breakthrough technologies from the research to the marketplace.  Moving forward, this initiative will not only strengthen ACCESS own applied research & development capabilities, but will also contribute to cultivating top-tier talent and drive the growth of the artificial intelligence and integrated circuit design industries across the Greater Bay Area.
