The InnoHK Summit 2023, jointly organized by the Innovation and Technology Commission, HKSARG and the Hong Kong Science and Technology Parks Corporation, was concluded on 6 December 2023. Under the theme “From Collaborative Research to Real World Impact”, the Summit demonstrated Hong Kong’s strength in research, commercialization and talent development, and successfully attracted over 400 experts across different regions and sectors for exchanging views and ideas.
During the Summit, ACCESS Center Director and the Vice-President for Research and Development of The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, Prof. Tim Cheng, shared the center’s research achievements in AI chip and systems development with world-class scientists and innovators.
Prof. Cheng also emphasized ACCESS’ roadmap to forge closer collaboration with top notch universities and the industry sectors to convert R&D achievements into tangible solutions and real-world adoption. This would contribute in nurturing a vibrant and dynamic tech ecosystem in Hong Kong, and driving the city towards a global research collaboration hub of AI.
Being one of the InnoHK Centers, ACCESS also took the opportunity to showcase its technology “Wellness Analytics for Elderly Healthcare Based on Real-time, Continuous Facial Landmark Detection and Pose Estimation” in the event, sharing innovative ideas and experience with researchers and experts!
